OUR CATHOLIC
FAITH

The Catholic Faith is centered on a personal relationship with The Holy Trinity ( Father, Son, & The Holy Spirit). Being Catholic, guides us through the grace of the sacraments and the richness of Sacred Tradition.

Our faith is a living call to grow in holiness and transform the world through the power of Christ's love. It inspires us to practice charity, seek justice, and serve our neighbors, reflecting the Gospel in our daily lives.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU.

For my Brothers & Sisters who don't call themselves Catholic. I say to you, Peace be with you!

Be Just Catholic isn't here to build walls. I pray it does just the opposite. I pray, Be Just Catholic will build the bridge between us. To bring us closer as our Lord Jesus Christ wants for us.

There is no reason to build walls to separate us. We must look for what we share in common between us. Yes, Catholics do believe in Jesus Christ and Yes, Catholics are Christian.

There is a broad spectrum of individuals who vary in the practice of their faith. Not only Catholics, but in all faiths. I hope "Be Just Catholic" can be the bridge between us to build the Kingdom of God here on earth.

What makes someone a good Christian depends not just on what is outwardly observable, but also on a certain inner quality. This inner quality is as important as a person's outward behavior in determining whether or not he or she is a good Christian. It falls on one's personal relationship with God.

I am sure many of you have heard these words of Jesus:

"Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven" (Matthew 7:21).

To me these are frightening words. Where do I fall short? Am I doing everything to get into heaven? Is my focus for heaven wandering? Am I selfish or self centered putting God on my short list of what is important to get me into heaven?

Doing the will of the Father requires prayer and discernment, and only someone with an active personal relationship with God will invest time necessary to know the will of the Father. We cannot say, based solely on the observation of someone's exterior words and actions, that a person is a good Christian or even a better Christian than someone else. Yes, Be Just Catholic is here for Catholics, but we are here for all of God's children. We welcome everyone to Be Just Catholic.

The foundation of Catholic belief is the Nicene Creed, which professes faith in one God in three persons—the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Central to this is the belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who became man to save humanity from sin. The Church also teaches the sanctity of Mary, the Mother of God, and venerates the saints as models of holiness and intercessors.

CREED & DOCTRINE

The sacraments are the visible signs through which God’s grace is given to believers. They are central to Catholic life and mark significant moments in a person's spiritual journey.

THE SEVEN SACRAMENTS

This category is about how Catholics are called to live. The foundation for this is the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes, which provide a moral framework for living a life of virtue and love. The Church's social teaching also guides believers to work for justice, care for the poor, and protect the dignity of every human person.

MORAL & SOCIAL TEACHINGS

Prayer is the way Catholics communicate with God. The primary form of worship is the Mass, which is the re-presentation of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Beyond the Mass, Catholics are encouraged to engage in personal prayer, meditation, and devotional practices like the Rosary and novenas.

PRAYER & WORSHIP

The Catholic faith is lived out in a community known as the Church, which is considered the Body of Christ on Earth. The Church is structured and is led by the Pope as the successor of Saint Peter, followed by bishops, priests, and deacons. This structure is seen as essential for preserving the truth of the faith and guiding the worldwide community of believers.
